Multiple Grammy award winner Carlos Santana says if Mona Lisa says hi to you, you say hi right back….

and then you write a song about it.

Santana says he heard Mona Lisa speak to him the first time he had visited the Louvre in Paris. He claims the painting asked him “Do you remember me when we were lovers in another time?”

The 71-year old, fusion jazz and Latin rhythm master says months later he awakened with the songs in “In Search of Mona Lisa” and “Do You Remember Me” fully formed in his head.

The songs will be part of Santana’s E-P “In Search of Mona Lisa,” out January 25th.
