An Alberta Clipper makes its way into the GTA at around noon Monday, with about 5 to 10 centimetres of snow for today and an additional 10 centimetres of accumulation Monday evening and overnight into Tuesday morning.

Mark Mills with Toronto’s Road Operations say when the plows pull out is dependent on accumulation amounts.

“We’ll wait until it hits a certain accumulation, about 2.5 centimetres of snow on the expressways, 5 centimetres on the arterial roads and 8 centimetres on the local roads and 2 centimetres of snow on our high pedestrian sidewalks,” Mills explains.

Some school buses are cancelled Monday in anticipation of the snowy weather.
