Canadian Stage, one of the country’s leading not-for-profit contemporary performing arts organisations has announced what it has in store for us for the 2019/20 season.

The line up, the first under Artistic director Brendan Healy and Executive Director Monica Esteves features 14 works spanning 5 continents and includes 6 world premieres.

The season will feature the return of world renowned choreographer Marie Chouinard and Toronto’s Red Sky Performance and commissioned new works by Canadian author, Vivek Shraya and playwright Susanna Fournier.

The focus also shifts beyond Canada, with artists from Rwanda, Australia, China, South Africa, the United States and Argentina featuring.

The season gets underway on July 4th with Shakespeare in High Park, this year featuring two adaptations of the bard’s most popular and enduring works, Measure for Measure and Much Ado About Nothing.

Single tickets will be on sale June 3rd – and full details on the productions and subscription packages are available online at www.canadianstage.com.
