Here is probably your best chance to own a work by Group of Seven artist A.Y. Jackson.

The Art Gallery of Ontario is culling its collection of Jackson’s work to make room for underrepresented artists.

Toronto’s Heffel Fine Art Auction House estimates the selection of paintings and oil sketches will fetch a total of more than $660-thousand with 17 canvases set to go up for sale this spring.

Profits from the sale will go toward purchasing new acquisitions with the aim of diversifying the AGO’s Indigenous and Canadian collection.

The works will be previewed prior to Heffel’s spring live auction on May 29th.
