Here is a sign of the times.

It’s “The Jack Nathan Health Medical Centre” sign and it hangs over the entrance to a Walmart in Vaughan.

It’s a laboratory and health services centre located in the Walmart Superstore on Highway 27.

It’s billed as a first of its kind, revolutionary patient-first healthcare offering. Walmart shoppers can access everything from physiotherapy and nutrition counseling to ultrasounds and echo cardiograms. There is even an an on site blood lab.

Jack Nathan Health is a privately owned medical management company and a Walmart Canada partner which operates 70 smaller, but similar clinics across the country and which hopes to expand on the mega-clinic concept in the future.
