There’s some good and bad news for GO Train riders and it all depends on how far you travel.
Metrolinx says short distance fares are being reduced by between 21% and 40% for  those using Presto cards as part of a realignment of fares across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. But while short distance fares are decreasing, fares for journeys longer than approximately 10 kilometres are increasing by up to four per cent.

The changes will come into effect as of April 20th.
Meanwhile, It will cost a little more to ride the TTC as of Monday with fares going up by 10 cents for most users

However, the adult cash fare will remain unchanged at $3.25
