Steven Del Duca is hoping to be the one to lead the comeback of Ontario Liberals.
(Ministry of Transportation)
As Doug Ford’s Conservatives rolled to victory in last year’s election, the former economic development and transportation minister lost his seat in Vaughan as the party’s representation in the legislature was reduced to just seven – not enough for official party status.
In announcing his bid #OLPRebuild, Del Duca says as leader he would ensure that at least 30 candidates are under the age of 30 and would commit to having at least half the 124 candidates be women.
Another defeated Liberal, Michael Coateau has also indicated he too will run for party leader.
