Shortly before Prince Rogers Nelson died in 2016, the singer-songwriter reached a deal to write a book about his life.
The 57-year-old Prince never finished it, but a version is coming out October 29th.
The announcement comes the day after the third anniversary of his death from an accidental fentanyl overdose.
”The Beautiful Ones,” the story of how he became Prince, is a 288-page project, that includes his unfinished manuscript with never-before-seen photos, original scrapbooks and lyric sheets and is made up of four parts.
The first is a first-person account of his childhood, followed by his early years as a musician through a scrapbook of his writing and photos.
The third part uses more pictures to show his evolution and the final one contains his original handwritten treatment for ”Purple Rain.”
