Billionaire Zoomer Warren Buffett is feeling very generous and has announced that he is to donate a chunk of shares worth $3.6 billion to five different charities.
The investor, who is the worlds 4th richest person has already plowed $34 billion into the the five foundations, which represents about 45% of his 2006 holdings.
The 88-year-old Buffett is giving the shares to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, as well as a foundation set up in his late wife’s memory and three run by his children.
For his part, Buffett plans to leave his children less than 1 percent of his fortune, which sits somewhere between $86 and $90 Billion.
