Just what those taking the Gardiner Expressway don’t want to hear.
The westbound Yonge-Bay-York off-ramp will be fully closed from 10 p.m. Monday July 15 until Monday September 16.
It’s the first phase of work to rehabilitate the expressway between Jarvis and Cherry Streets.
To complete the work as quickly as possible, the city says crews will work mostly around-the-clock 24/7 with the majority of the most disruptive work to be completed by 11 p.m.
In addition, the westbound on-ramp at Jarvis Street, that’s underneath the Yonge-Bay-York off-ramp, will be closed overnight (10 p.m. to 5 a.m.) from Tuesday July 16 until the end of the month.
There’ll be more construction on the Gardiner between Jarvis and Cherry Streets this year with details, including timing, to be announced later this summer.
