If you’re planning to beat the heat with a dip in Lake Ontario, the city would like to inform you that you needn’t worry about pollution.
Toronto’s Associate Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Christine Navarro says a number of steps have been taken over the past 25 years to ensure that Toronto’s beaches are free from contamination.
Eight of the city’s beaches, including Woodbine and Cherry Beach have been given a “Blue Flag” designation meaning they meet international standards for water quality.
