More provincial patronage fallout from Doug Ford’s former chief-of-staff Dean French.
This time it’s the chair of the committee that helps choose justices of the peace.
(Globe and Mail)
Andrew Suboch has resigned after a two-week review into his appointment.
Suboch, a personal injury and insurance lawyer, is a long-time friend of French and their sons played lacrosse together.
The premier’s former right-hand man quit after it was revealed that two people with personal ties were given jobs abroad that were quickly revoked.
Once French resigned, other appointments with connections to him were uncovered, including his niece.
