During these hot summer days, your inclination may be to order an iced coffee. But if your looking strictly for health benefits associated with coffee, have it hot!

Doctors at the Cleveland Clinic say cold brew does not have as many anti-oxidants than coffee brewed with hot water. In fact, cold coffee has about 50 percent fewer anti-oxidants than java brewed hot.

Anti-oxidants help cut down the risk of some diseases.

And if you load your coffee with cream and sugar, you’re likely wiping out the health benefits.

The healthiest, doctors say, is to have it black.
