STUDY: ONE-IN-FOUR CANADIANS OVER 30 ARE CAREGIVERS

As the face of Canada ages, about one-in-four over 30 (26%) are providing care to loved ones or one-in-three (33%) expect to  n the future. 
Just two of the findings of a survey by Angus Reid Institute, which also found Canadians in their 40s and 50s appear to take on the most responsibility of caregiving, mainly for a parent or in-law.
Nearly three-in-ten (28%) currently are caregivers while a further four-in-ten anticipate becoming one.
About four-in-ten (42%) of parents between 40 and 59 have children under the age of 15.
Almost three-in-ten (28%) caregivers worry they and / or the person they care for will not be able to afford the care they need.
