Despite the allegations of sexual misconduct, opera Superstar Placido Domingo will appear this week with New York’s Metropolitan Opera.
Met general manager Peter Gelb says the organization takes the allegations against Domingo “very seriously,” but won’t take action until there is corroborated evidence.
The 78 year old legend has been under a cloud since the Associated Press printed allegations from a number of women who worked with him.
He has called the allegations “simply incorrect,” but hasn’t provided specifics.
Domingo will appear with the Met for three performances of “Macbeth” starting Wednesday.
