With three weeks to go until the federal election, party leaders are preparing for upcoming debates and making party announcements.
Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau was in Toronto to talk gun control. He met with health-care professionals and listened to forceful testimonials about the impact of rising gun violence.
Conservative leader Andrew Scheer was also in the GTA for an announcement. He was in Whitby promising that a Conservative government would make it easier for thousands of Canadians to access the federal disability tax credit.
NDP leader Jagmeet Singh was in Vancouver announcing a proposed $10-billion dollar investment over four years to create 500,000 childcare spaces across the country. He criticized Liberals continued promises to create affordable childcare and pharmacare for decades. He says he would like universal childcare by 2030.
Green Party leader Elizabeth May announced a plan to tax companies that lay off workers and bring in automation.
