His name was Jose Jose. He was known as the “Mexican Prince of Song.”
He died last weekend at the age of 71 and as as we reported earlier this week, when two of his children arrived at a Miami Funeral Home, his body was no where to be found; the apparent result of a feud with his other daughter.
25-year old Sarita has the rights to all her father’s songs. The singer’s other children alleged that Sarita was planning to sell the media rights to her father’s funeral and was keeping the body hidden until she had clenched the deal
The situation was apparently settled at the Mexican consulate in Miami through mediation, the singer’s body located and there will be two memorial services, one in Miami, one in Mexico.
The crooner sold more than 100 million albums over the course of his career and has been widely mourned in his native Mexico and other Latin American countries.
