The City of Toronto and the 905 were the key to the Liberal’s minority win.

The 905 was also mostly Liberal after former Health Minister and and then Independent Candidate Jane Philpott, lost Markham – Stouffville to former Provincial Health Minister Helena Jaczek.
In the end, only two seats in the 905 changed hands.
