As expected, the European Union’s agreed to delay Brexit by three months until the end of January, in an effort to avoid a chaotic departure by Britain three days from now.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson grudgingly accepted the delay, but urges the other 27 bloc member countries that this be the last.
Under terms of the ”flextension,” the U.K. can leave before January 31 if both the British and EU Parliaments ratify a Brexit divorce deal either on December 1 or January 1.
Johnson’s pushing for an election December 12 as a way of breaking the impasse.
