Ontario’s secondary school teachers plan to hold another day-long strike next Wednesday.
But this time instead of all members hitting picket lines, as was the case this past Wednesday, only certain boards will be targeted next week.
Education Minister Stephen Lecce says the 2% salary increase the union is seeking for high school teachers is unreasonable; pointing to the settlement with CUPE, while OSSTF president Harvey Bischof counters that was an exception.
About one-quarter of OSSTF teachers and education workers will take part in Wednesday’s planned job action, including the 7,000 in Toronto.
