WHO: CORONAVIRUS 'NOT YET GLOBAL EMERGENCY BUT MAY YET BECOME ONE'

A World Health Organization panel of experts on the coronavirus says ”it is a bit too early” to consider the outbreak in China a global emergency but adds ”it may yet become one.”

After two days of gathering and assessing information the 16 independent experts were divided over whether it met the criteria of an international health emergency.
The WHO says China’s taken measures it believes are appropriate.
Meanwhile, in a notice just below an official travel advisory, the federal government urges travellers to ”exercise a high degree of caution in China.”
Several people in Canada are under observation for any signs they may have been infected but the federal health minister maintains the risk to Canadians remains low.
