After last week’s white weekend, residents of the Greater Toronto Area can expect a wet one this weekend.

A rainfall warning has been issued by Environment Canada which says rain, heavy at times, will begin this evening.

Total amounts of 20 to 35 millimetres are expected before changing to snow Saturday morning or afternoon.

The weather agency points out heavy downpours can cause flash floods and pooling or ponding on roads.

Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.

Homeowners are remind to clear storm drains from snow and ice to allow for proper drainage.
