1 CONFIRMED CORONAVIRUS CASE IN TORONTO, 1 PRESUMPTIVE CASE

The first presumptive case of corona virus reported on the weekend has now been confirmed.
A man in his 50s who recently returned to Toronto from China.
His wife has tested positive and is considered the second presumptive case.
Officials are awaiting results from the national microbiology lab in Winnipeg.
Health officials have been reaching out to those aboard the January 22 China Southern Airlines flight who sat within two-metres of the man.
His wife is in self-isolation at home but Ontario’s chief medical officer says the risk to Ontarians remains low.
Meanwhile, provincial health officials are also awaiting test results for 19 who are under investigation; the vast majority of whom are in hospital and in isolation.
Fifteen others have been determined not to have the coronavirus.
