The province and union for elementary teachers are negotiating for a third straight day, and the premier promises they won’t leave until there’s a deal.
”We’re going to do everything we can to get a deal.  I know they’ve been at the table and they’re going to stay there until we strike a deal,” said Doug Ford.

The elementary teachers have been holding one-day, rotating strikes for two weeks, including the Peel and Hamilton-Wentworth boards today, but they plan to walk out at each board twice-a-week starting Monday – if no deal’s reached.
Meanwhile, the province’s English Catholic teachers say they’ll return to bargaining Monday but that a one-day province-wide strike set for Tuesday, is still on, for now.
The union for high school teachers is now the only one with no scheduled bargaining dates.
