His name is Fred Arsenault. He’s a World War Two veteran, who lives here in Toronto, and he’s about to turn 100.

And his wish as he becomes a centenarian? To receive 100 birthday cards.

A picture has been posted on social media of the former machine gunner decked out in full Canadian veteran ceremonial regalia holding up a sign with this small request and an address, which is presumably where he lives.

Since going up, the photo has received hundreds of comments and likes and a shout out from Toronto Mayor John Tory.

If you’d like to send a birthday card to 100 year old Fred Arsenault, the address is 9 Kenmore Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, M1K 1B3.
