For the first time ever, a Classical artist is nominated for instrumental, breakthrough artist and album of the year for “Inscape”  at this year’s Juno Awards.
Friend of the New Classical FM, Montreal based composer Alexandra Streliski says ahead of the celebration, she feels the weight of carrying the torch for the classical music community.
Streliski credits the late, celebrated Toronto pianist Glenn Gould for inspiring her to capture humanity in a performance, which she says can make the music all the more emotionally profound.
The Juno Awards are set for Sunday night.  And as of Thursday morning, the Juno’s were still a go from the Sask-Tel Centre in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
