Friday marks the beginning of March break which usually means clogged airports as vacationers head south. In Toronto, Pearson Airport is bracing for some 144,000 people to go through, comparable to last year’s numbers.
However, some travelers have cancelled plans. One woman saying she scuttled a trip to Mexico over fears she might not be able to get back to Canada, if forced to go into quarantine.
While the airport expects big numbers Friday, officials expects over-all travel will be down this year because of COVID 19 concerns.
