CURBSIDE PICKUP A HIT AT TORONTO PUBLIC LIBRARIES

Toronto public libraries have had to change the way they do business as a result of restrictions imposed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

And their changes have proved to be a hit with readers.

The Library introduced a curbside pickup system on June 8 at 67 of its branches. So far, thousands of appointments have been booked.

Spokesperson says more than 8,000 people have arranged appointments at their local branch. She points out that safety precautions are in place at every step of the way in the book, DVD and CD borrowing process.
