ALEX TREBEK HELPS THE HOMELESS

Since 1984, he’s been the beloved host of “Jeopardy.”

Now, Sudbury-born Alex Trebek is known for his fight against pancreatic cancer and is being lauded for a $500,000 donation to help construct a new homeless shelter in Los Angeles.

The 79-year old is also being recognized for a $10,000 donation to the same organization for the construction of another facility in North Hollywood.

It’s estimated the Order of Canada member and Emmy winner makes about $32,000 an episode of Jeopardy which works out to about $10-million dollars a year.
