Toronto will be enjoying the first weekend with slightly relaxed COVID-19 pandemic regulations.
With the City now in stage two, people can now enjoy a drink on a patio–while physically distanced from people not in their “bubbles,” of course.
Outdoor pools are also opening. Swimmers will be allowed at 15 of the city’s pools today with the rest opening tomorrow.
Wading pools in the city will open July 1 while splash pads have already been in the process of reopening
Modified service to the Toronto Islands also resumes Saturday.
People are being reminded to avoid large gatherings and be mindful of physical distancing rules. Masks are also advised for situations when physical distancing is difficult while indoors.
