Metrolinx says it won’t follow the TTC’s lead in mandating face masks for passengers.

The face covering rule went into place yesterday on the TTC for most passengers with few exceptions.

Metrolinx, which oversees GO transit and the Union Pearson Express says it won’t be implementing a similar rule.

They do strongly encourage passengers on their trains and buses to wear face masks. They’re advertising more than 40 new policies to keep employees safe.

Among those are frequent screenings of workers and enhanced cleaning measures of trains and buses.
