First the prime minister, now the finance minister is being investigated by the ethics watchdog for a possible conflict-of-interest over the aborted deal with WE Charity.

Both Justin Trudeau and Bill Morneau took part in a cabinet vote on the deal that would have seen the charity manage the Canada Student Service Grant program.
The finance minister failed to excuse himself even though one of his daughters works for WE.
The prime minister remained at the cabinet table even though his mother, brother and wife have all accepted money for speaking at WE Charity events.
Both have apologized for not recusing themselves.
Conservative ethics critic Michael Barrett says it’s clear ”a criminal investigation is warranted.”
