Swimmers in Toronto will get to enjoy an extended season as the city has agreed to keep some of the city’s pools open for another week.
Pools were scheduled to close for the season this Sunday but 10 of the 56 pools in Toronto will remain open until September 13th.
The decision is a response to school boards pushing back the return to class by a week.
The outdoor swimming season started late in Toronto. Pools were closed until June 26th due to restrictions imposed due to the pandemic.
