The Canadian Snowbird Association is heralding an Ontario court’s decision to reinstate out-of-country medical insurance coverage.
Earlier this year, the Ford government eliminated the coverage that reimbursed expenses for residents who faced medical emergencies while travelling outside the country.
The court’s ruling reinstates the reimbursement of both inpatient and outpatient services that could reach 400 dollars a day.
The CSA says the ruling affirms the right of Ontario residents to out-of-country emergency insurance coverage as required by the Canada Health Act.
