Mac Davis has died in Nashville following heart surgery.
The Songwriters Hall of Fame member was known for his own recordings of songs like “Baby, Baby Don’t Get Hooked on Me” and “It’s Hard to be Humble. But, he also wrote “In the Ghetto” for Elvis Presley and was recorded by artists like Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, Glen Campbell and Tom Jones.
Mac Davis was 78.
