Hamilton-born Broadway star Nick Cordero is being remembered in a new recording to help his legacy alive.
“Lucky Streak,” was written by Meg Toohey (above) and accompanied by Sara Bareilles and the Waitress Band.
The song, tells the story of the Ryerson-trained performer’s time in New York City where he was nominated for a Tony Award. It covers Cordero moving to Los Angeles to start a new life with his wife Amanda Kloots and their 1-year-old son, Elvis.
Cordero died in July at the age of 41 after a three month fight with COVID-19.
