She’s 104 years old and admits, Sir Tom Moore was an inspiration. So, during the pandemic, she’s walking a marathon around her home in England to raise money for the Thames Valley Air Ambulance Service.
Ruth Saunders originally planned to do 104 laps around her home in Berkshire to match her age, but was convinced to do a marathon by her granddaughter.
Saunders has completed 91 laps and plans to do 130 in total, which is 26.2 miles, the regulation length of a full marathon.
