Many of use will make new Christmas traditions this year as the  province issued guidance on how to celebrate the holidays amid the second wave of the pandemic.

Premier Doug Ford says all Ontarians should stick only to their own households for upcoming holiday celebrations.

But there is one exception.

“If you live alone, you can join one other household,” said Ford.

The Premier cautioned we just “can’t take any chances” when it comes to COVID-19 even if they live outside Toronto and Peel Region, which are currently under lockdown.

Health Minister Christine Elliott urged people to connect with family, friends and co-workers virtually over the holidays.

The N-D-P says people would not have to be separated from their loved ones for the holidays if the government had taken faster action to combat rising infections this fall.

Toronto and Peel Region are currently under the grey or lockdown level in the province’s tiered system, with tougher measures to stay in place at least until the week of Christmas.
