William Link, who co-created shows like “Columbo” and “Murder, She Wrote,” has died.
Link’s wife says he died of congestive heart failure Sunday in Los Angeles.
Link and his writing partner Richard Levenson liked to tackle topics of justice and equality. In addition to their popular television shows, they wrote tv movies that approached subjects like interracial romance and showed sympthetic portrayals of gay characters.
They earned an Emmy for “Columbo” while “Murder, She Wrote” lasted 12 seasons.
William Link had just celebrated his 87th birthday on December 15th.
