It’s been one year since members of Iran’s Republican Guard fired missiles that brought down a Ukraine International Airlines flight.
Canada and the other countries whose citizens were killed in the incident released a joint statement Friday saying they want Iran to deliver justice and make sure Iran makes full reparations to the families of those affected.
So far, they say Tehran hasn’t provided a complete and thorough explanation of the events and decisions that led to the crash.
Iran first denied involvement but then announced its military had shot down the plane by accident.
176 people died on flight PS752 that was bound for Kiev. 55 were Canadian citizens, 30 were permanent residents and 53 others were ultimately headed for Canada.
