Bob Dylan’s 7th studio album, Blonde on Blonde was released. Rolling Stone listed it as the ninth Greatest Album of All Time.
Dylan stated in 1978 that it was “the closest I ever go to the sound I hear in my head…that thin, that wild mercury sound.”
