On this day in 1965, The Beatles played their last show ever in their hometown of Liverpool. They appeared at The Liverpool Empire during the group’s final UK tour.
Although there were only over 5,000 tickets available for sale, 40,000 applied for tickets. The group also had the UK No.1 single on this day with We Can Work It Out / Day Tripper.
