RISKS TO PARENTS TO POTENTIAL EXPOSURE TO COVID-19 AS KIDS RETURN TO SCHOOL IN FALL

Jane Brown is joined by Dr. Iris Gorfinkel, a family physician and founder of PrimeHealth Clinical Research as well as Dr. Timothy Sly, an epidemiologist and professor at the school of Occupational and Public Health at Ryerson University.

With back to school just days away, more parents are expressing concern about the risks of exposure to COVID-19 as their kids get set to resume in-class learning. So, with the presence of the highly-transmissible Delta variant in the province, how concerned should we be about its spread in schools, and if parents have been vaccinated, what should they know about the risk of breakthrough infections?

JULIE DABRUSIN JOINS FIGHT BACK

Jane Brown is filling in for Libby Znaimer today. She is joined by Julie Dabrusin, Liberal candidate (incumbent) for the riding of Toronto-Danforth.

Julie has been busy canvassing with voters in Toronto during the federal election campaign to make the case for why she should be re-elected. She’s been hearing about their concerns and priorities and she joins Jane to detail how things have been going so far.

OAO WITHDRAWS OHIP-COVERED SERVICES FOR SENIORS

Jane Brown is joined by Ritesh Patel, an Ontario optometrist.

The Ontario Association of Optometrists has withdrawn OHIP-services for kids and Seniors as a result of unproductive talks with the province over cost reimbursements. Ritesh explains what is happening and what that will mean for you should you require eye care services covered by OHIP.
