According to the Catholic Bishops of Alberta and the Northwest Territories, priests should consider refusing to conduct funerals for people who have chosen a physician assisted death. As of now, the Toronto Archdiocese has issued no such guidelines but has spoken out against medically assisted dying. Shaanaz Gokool, the CEO of Dying with Dignity joins the show to discuss this along with Neil MacCarthy, Director, Public Relations & Communications, Archdiocese of Toronto.
