Nursing homes across Ontario received a 67 cent increase per resident funding for meals from the province. It may not seem like a lot, but it’s twice the amount advocates were looking for and the new money will mean better and fresher foods for residents in long term care facilities. Wanda Morris of CARP, Cathy Gapp from AdvantAge Ontario and Candace Chartier from the Ontario Long Term Care Association join us to spell out what it means.
