On the first day of random drug testing at the TTC, 2 of the 8 people tested, failed. It’s a concerning statistic considering in 2015 a bus driver who tested positive for cannabis struck a pedestrian, and that between 2010-2016, 187 external applicants for “safety-sensitive positions” with the TTC returned positive drug tests. Is there a drug and alcohol problem with the TTC? Or is it just a case of small sample size blowing the issue out of proportion? TTC Spokesman Brad Ross joins Libby to talk about it.
