As we edge closer to Canada Day, how do we perceive ourselves, and our neighbours to the south? A recent poll by the Environics Institute says most Canadians are very trustful of its democracy and thinks we are an island of stability in a world of political discontent and populism. At the same time, Pew Research says fewer Canadians have confidence in the United States under the leadership of Donald Trump.
