TORONTO COUNCILLOR JOSH MATLOW UNDERGOES SELF-ISOLATION, AND PROVINCE PROVIDES FUNDING TO EGLINTON BUSINESSES-MARCH 10 2020

Libby Znaimer is joined byJosh Matlow, Toronto Councillor for Ward 12 Toronto-St. Paul’s and Councillor Mike Colle for Ward 8 Eglinton-Lawrence.

In a recent publicly written statement, Councillor Matlow announced that he came into contact with an individual who tested positive for Covid-19 on March 5th. In the same statement, he explained that he is asymptomatic, but that he was advised by the City’s Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Eileen de Villa to undergo self isolation until March 20. He joins us to discuss his experience.

Councillor Colle joins as well as we shift the conversation to Eglinton’s Crosstown LRT construction, which has been hitting local businesses hard. Now, the Ford government has promised $3-million in funding to help these businesses impacted by the construction. The two Toronto Councillors discuss why this is important and what more needs to be done to improve the situation for residents and shop owners.
