Libby Znaimer is joined by Dr. Colin Furness, Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Information at the University of Toronto who specializes partly in the risk that diseases pose to long-term care facilities. And, Candace Chartier, former CEO of the Ontario Long Term Care Association.

With a recent outbreak of Covid-19 at a northern Vancouver nursing home and the subsequent death of an 80-year-old resident who contracted the virus, Canadian seniors homes are taking centre stage amid the national health threat. But, while a safety measures and strategies are increasingly being implemented at these facilities, there is also a call to balance it all with compassion for the residents. Libby and guests discuss.
