Libby Znaimer is joined by Dr. Matthew Miller. Associate Professor with the Institute for Infectious Diseases Research at McMaster University and Dr. Steve Joordens, Professor of Psychology at the University of Toronto Scarborough.

While we are learning more and more about the physical signs and symptoms of COVID-19, we are also beginning to understand the psychological toll that this health crisis has brought on the Canadian public. Panic, anxiety, and despondency are just some of the emotions hitting people and though we are “all in this together”, we could all use a little advise from our experts on how to ease our nerves during these times of uncertainty.

According to the Canadian government’s website, there are a total of 690 confirmed cases of the virus in the country. So far, 9 Canadians have died.

Yesterday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau unveiled an $82-billion dollar emergency response package as part of the national fight against the COVID-19 health crisis.

Over the coming weeks, Fight Back with Libby Znaimer will continue to have leading Canadian medical experts joining the program to provide you with the most up-to-date information on COVID-19. Stay tuned, weekdays from noon to 1 pm EST.
